Door de Wereldbank gefinancierde rehabilitatie van het Saramaccakanaalsysteem, inclusief sluis en spuien bij de Doorsteek en kanaalonderhoud. Contracten gegund aan PowerChina Jiangxi Electric Power Construction (USD 11,3 mln) en International - Infra N.V. (USD 2,5 mln).
De aanbestedingspublicaties van de Wereldbank voor dit project vermelden de gunning van de rehabilitatie van sluis en spuien bij de Doorsteek aan PowerChina Jiangxi Electric Power Construction Co., Ltd. (contractprijs USD 11.305.696,31; bericht van 3 juni 2024) en van het kanaalonderhoud aan International - Infra N.V. (USD 2.524.696,98; bericht van 7 september 2023), beide via Request for Bids.
