New building for the Ministry of Health and the Public Health Bureau (BOG), built by The 23rd Metallurgical Construction Group under the IDB-financed Health Services Improvement Project (US$20 million). Contract signed 16 August 2023; groundbreaking 13 October 2023.
The Ministry of Health signed the construction contract with The 23rd Metallurgical Construction Group Co., Ltd. on 16 August 2023 and held the groundbreaking at Rode Kruislaan 22 on 13 October 2023. The building is to house the ministry, the Public Health Bureau (BOG) and other health services. It is financed under the IDB's Health Services Improvement Project (SU-L1054), a US$20 million loan approved on 29 August 2018.
The IDB's award data records the contract at US$12.8 million. Completion has not been verified by Suriname Partners.
