Rosebel & Saramacca gold mines
Large-scale gold operations owned by Zijin Mining since 2023. The Rosebel mine began production in 2004; Saramacca in the second half of 2020.
Operational
Zijin Mining agreed in October 2022 to buy Rosebel Gold Mines from IAMGOLD and completed the roughly US$360 million transaction in early 2023. Rosebel Gold Mines holds 100% of the Rosebel mine and a 70% participating interest in the Saramacca mine; Staatsolie holds the remaining 30% of Saramacca.
